Net Send on Win98

there is a utility called winpopup in win 98.
type 'winpopup' in run. if u r want to recieve messages from friends whose os is win 2000 thn ur winpopup should be running, otherwise u wont get the message.

Yeah, I know about winpopup, I was just trying to find a way to send messages through the cmd prompt. I dont think it is possible. Thanks for your help though

its not possible sending messages in win 98 through cmd(command prompt)

w98 does not have this capability

You also have the option here of just asking Community Support to delete the question.

Remember, the Expert helping you today is probably going to be helping you next time you post a question. Give them a fair chance to earn an 'Excellent!' grade and they'll provide you with some amazing support.

Please understand that the fact that the answer you receive in a question isn't what you want doesn't make the answer incorrect. If you had asked if you could drive your 1968 Chevy Camaro to the moon using a stock engine, the answer would be no, and would also be correct.

Blaming the messenger, while a frequent practice throughout time, doesn't make it any more valid. stevenlewis' comment was to the point, explanatory and complete.
