Browse All TopicsThe 2611 router had a fualt originaly where by the flash got screwed up and would only boot to Rommon. This we repaired this by installing a new IOS [2600-I-M version 12.0(17a) FC1].
Now the router boots up router>
The problem is that the password still exists be it real or corrupt ( we don't know) but we are unable to reset it. I have looked at the password recovery document that covers the 1600 serties routers from Cisco. It is telling me that the config register should be 0x2102 or 0x102. Our router shows the config reg as 0xF. I have tried crl B as break when booting from cold but it does not work. Is there an alternative set of keystrokes? I am attempting to get into Rommon to reset the password. Can anybody help as without resetting the damn P/W we cant use the router.
