Ok heres an easy way I do it.
Download an ftp server such as war ftp or Bulletproof FTP server and an ftp client such as bulletproof FTP from www.bpftp.com .
Install the ftp server on your work computer and set it up to share 1 folder. (or a drive if you want) and create a user to access it such as "YOURNAME", and give that account "YOURPASSWORD")
Go to start>run and type in "winipcfg" and hit enter(if win98 if 2000 open a dos prompt and type "ipconfig" an hit enter) write down you ip address ( which is hopefully static and outside of a firewall)
Go home and install bulletproof ftp on you home system and enter your ip address from work then YOURNAME and YOURPASSWORD and hit enter and there you go.
If all goes well you can connect to your work computer to grab and upload files to your work from your home computer, also if VNC is installed www.uk.research.att.com/vn
Hope this helps and gimme the points :) please.

There are number of ways to do it.
ig/guide.h tm
1. There is a freeware available on the net called VNC. You can use it for remote desktop sharing.
2. If your office is under a domain, setup RAS for authentication and then loggin in to the network.
3. If your home PC is 98, make it as dial up server, if it is XP then make it for remote desktop sharing.
