I would recomend shoutcast style. Mp3´s beeing streamed to your client. Try out the system by installing winamp and choose a channel on http://yp.shoutcast.com/

Problems for you may come from the system admin at your work.
For example; waste of bandwith, not able to install (winamp, others), firewall blocking streamed ports and so on.
