I had a router-switch with WAN input and four LAN outputs. Since I need more ports, I have got an additional four-port hub, and I am using a crossover cable to connect one of the hub's ports to one of the router's LAN outputs.
It works if there are few machines on the network, but if I connect machines to all the remaining free ports on the router-switch and then try connecting machines to the hub, the computers attached to the hub can't see the internet. Furthermore error messages start appearing like IP conflicts. But I thought that the addresses should be properly distributed so there aren't any conflicts.
How should I fix this?
