  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. 2 hubs, one switch

I've got a pretty basic question.  I currently have an 8port and a 16port hub connected together.  I am adding a broadband router/switch to this configuration.  Question...

Am I better off leaving the 8port and the 16port connected together, and making one connection to the switch?  So my ultimate configuration would be switch ---> 16port ---> 8port.

Or should I break the connection between the 16port and the 8port and connect them independently to the switch, .ie uplink from each hub to ports on the router/switch.
