Question

need help with psexec command for the install w32.blaster.worm patch

I got this to work but I am not satify with it yet:

psexec \\remotepc cmd

cd\

Windows2000-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe /Q /M /Z

And this will install the patch.

I am trying to run a script to install the blaster patch from MS for all the PCs from my computer.  Here's what I have so far:

psexec \\remotepc -i -c Windows2000-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe /Q /M /Z

this doesn't work, I also try different variation of the command such as:

psexec \\remotepc -i -c callwin2k.cmd

which in the callwin2k.cmd would have:

cd\

Windows2000-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe /Q /M /Z  <== of course file is locate at remotepc in c:\

and that doesn't work.

Figure this out and all IT ppl can sleep earlier.  Thanks.

I used the following successfuly:
psexec \\computername -u aministrator -p password -c WindowsNT4Workstation-KB824146-x86-eng.exe -z -q

But I had an error when the administrator password was empty on a non-Englsih OS.
Can anyone confirm on this?
