actual why not buy 2 pcs of NIC and use a cross over cable to connect 2 computers together.
even you use pcanywhere, you have to manual connection from each machine and you must provide a current source.

PC Anywhere is a good piece of software for this: http://www.symantec.com/pc
But a little more info may help narrow down your needs...
What operating system are they using?
What are you wanting to do with them once connected?
Are they in the same location and you want to use the telephone system to transfer data (yuk)?
How long do you want to have them connected?
Do you want remote control capability (i.e. as if you're sitting at PCB when dialed in from PCA)
