Browse All TopicsI am looking for a way to apply a host rule in my Windows 2000 DNS server for my LAN network.
I want to do this so that it further prevents users from going to ad ware sites and pop up sites that uses add links and such.
Also to limit the traffic from spy ware app’s that maybe installed on workstations.
So far I have been spending time over the last year for my ‘personal use’ making a host file that resides in: %SystemRoot%\system32\driv
I would like to do this in DNS.
Here is a sample of my HOST file that I run on my local machine.
