With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Network not working

Hello there!

I have a network between 3 computers (1 desktop - xp home, 2 notebooks - xp pro). All the computers are plugged into a HUB, and so is a high-speed internet modem. The internet is shared correctly between the computes, but I can't share files and hardware. When I open My Network Locations, no other PCs are showed (it only shows the PC I am using), just like there wasn't a network. Since the internet is shared, it can't be a problem in cables nor in the HUB. I use no proxy, and all PC's have network cards (same speed - 100Mpbs) and all it's needed. I already tried running the network configuration assistant, but no good as well.

I think it is a configuration problem, but I can't tell what is it. Could someone help me?
