The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Just for fun

Asked by DJCircolone in Miscellaneous Networking, TCP/IP, File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

First I just want to say thank you for the help you all have given me in the past, Now I have a question that I just want to ask for my own curiosity. In case you are unaware I have been syudying for my CCNA and that is why I have been asking the questions I have ( I don't think a 1900 switch was the best way to go about it but it does present some challenges). Now just for fun I would like to set up my rack on the internet using my cable modem. I have a motorola SB 5100 cable modem with a linksys WRT54g wireless router (comes with 4 ports). Right now I have 2 pcs with wireless connections and 1 with a wired connection. My rack has 2 2501 routers and a 2516 as well as a 1900 and a 3500 switch, what would be the best way to set up my rack on the internet with my cable modem? should I connect directly to the rack or use the linksys router? Right now I have my rack set up where Router_A, Router_B and Router_C are connected through serial ports with Router_B's s0 and s1 being DCE with a clock rate of 64000. Router_A is connected to the 1900 switch and Router_B is connected to the 3500 switch. If I plug the modem into the rack how do I configure it so I can have a pc plugged into any switch port and be able to use the internet?
