Looking for Hotspot Hardware/ Software
I am looking for a solution for a client that will act as a network gateway for their restaurant, and allow wireless users access to the internet after they fill out a small form with Name, Adress, email address, etc. After that, they will not be bothered with the form again. I gues this could be done by a cookie, but I think I would prefer for it to log the mac address to an "authorized" database so when the customer comes back, they don't have to enter the information again or remember a username or password. I have looked at quite a few solutions, but they seem to make everything so difficult as they are designed for a pay service. I would love for the device to write the user's info to an access database, or dare I say an Outlook Contacts file. Just thought I would throw that out there! =) I don't care if it has the wireless built in as all the locations have wireless routers already, but it would be nice if the user network and customer network were seperated by seperate nic cards or something. The client does not want a subscription service for management of the customers, just a way to get new customer information to market.

I have to say that the instanthotspot pointed me in the right direction. The other two were okay, but don;t really meet the requirements especially the boingo solution. Thanks in4ni...
