Browse All TopicsMy network is based on a Lynksys Router as a backbone.
The adaptor on my computer has its own Ip address 192.168.1.xxx
When I configure the DNS on the network adaptor on my computer I have found that I can use several ip addresses. as follows
1) I can get a DNS that works by typing in www.whatismyip.com and using that number that I get for example like 68.113.42.224
Or....
2)I can open a dos prompt and type in
Ipconfig /all
and use the two DNS values at the bottom of the information listed.
for example like 24.196.64.39
24.196.64.49
And enter them as a primary and a secondary DNS value.
What is the best way to configure the DNS values of the TCP/IP settings of the network cards
and why for 500pts.
Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge with me.
