it sounds like your hosts file has been hijacked. I would suggest getting a spyware program and cleaning it out.

Browse All TopicsWhen I try accessing either yahoo.com or google.com, I get a listing of their Apache server file structure but not the web site. I can ping both web sites by name and IP addresses fine. I have the google toolbar installed on my browser, now when I tried searchng for any word in there, I get "a "page cannot be found" message.
Any idea on what could be happening?

Wow !!! I would love to be able to get a site directory listing of google and yahoo, that is some accomplishment.
Download Firefox 1 (www.mozilla.org), it only takes 5 minutes to download and install. It is a better browser anyway, and everyone needs two browser types for problems like this, I think. Firefox installs so easily, it is a no-hassle browser.
If you find that Firefox works fine on these sites, you know the problem is IE -- reinstall it. If not, you know for sure that your system has some virus or something else like that installed on it.

I beleive you have some problems with your browser (IE).
Try to re-install your IE, also, check your PC for spyware/malware, I will suggest Microsoft Anti-Spyware.
