Holger,
The router for the 10.155.1.x network does have a route for 10.11.90.x.

Browse All TopicsI'm having route problems with our remote site, using a TZ 170 < http://pg.photos.yahoo.com
On our Main site (2040), I added a static route to the 2040 to route traffic destined to 10.155.1.x to go through the cisco router. Everyone from the 2040s'LAN can connect to the 10.155.1.x.
On the remote network (TZ 170), I created a site-2-site VPN between the [2040] and the [170]. I can ping the main site from the remote network. When I try to ping the 10.155.1.x network, which goes through the Cisco router, it returns with the request timed out.
Both sonicwall boxes are running SonicOS standard.
Here's what I've tried:
-VPN Policies>Advanced Tab>Enabled Forward Packetst to remote VPNs.
-Network>Routing>static route> dest=10.155.1.0 GW=2040LAN_IP_Address WAN int.
*Nothing seems to work.
I figured since the 2040 knew the route to the 10.155.1.x network, if I use it as the gateway for the TZ170, it should know where to direct it.
Please let me know your thoughts.

The remote`s router (TZ170) must also have a static route. You can also add a second "destination network" in your SA on your TZ170 that will do the same thing. Otherwise, at the remote office, traffic destinated to 10.155.1.x will be passed to the default gateway instead of being passed into the tunnel.
Danny you are correct, I found the anser to my question in another site... here it is just in case someone is in a similar situation:
http://www.sonicusers.com/
basically I added the IP of the site located in the other side of the cisco router... in this case it was 10.155.1.x to the VPN policy you created along with the main site, which is 10.10.70.x
Danny, I'll award you the point.

Does the 10.155.1x network knows how to reach 10.11.90.x backwards?
This needs to be done by either having a defaultroute at the cisco via the 2040 or a static route for just the 10.11.90.x network ...
