What you need to do is have either a dual monitor video card,  or add another video card to the pc.  You can use onboard video (the video connection that is not an added card) and a PCI video card,  or 1 AGP card and a PCI video card.

my suggestion would be to look around online for an AGP ATI "all in woder" dual monitor video card.  You would simply plug it in,  turn on your monitors and XP will configure the rest,  You will control the monitors from the display properties  - the same place you change your screen saver/ background etc etc.

Hope this is relevant and helps!!

You need to have 2 video cards in your machine.  Once you have both video card in the machine and the correct drivers installed then it's pretty easy if you have Windows XP or Windows 2000.  Windows XP I believe will confure everything for you, Windows 2000 may take a bit more work, but it's not too difficult to setup.

As the other two users mentioned, you will need a dual monitor video card.  Now, these are really easy to come by.

I use the NVIDIA Geforce 6600GT and it has two outputs for a montior.  All you have to do (after you install the card/drivers) is tell it to use two monitors.  You do this by going into display properties (Control Pannel) and clicking the Settings Tab, then the Advanced button.  There should be an NVIDIA tab that asks how you want to setup the monitors.  The 6600GT card is good for gamming too...

I chose the NVIDA 6600GT because it is the sweet spot for price over speed.

The PC Connection link that the previous user gave you is a little expensiv ($200) .... A 6600GT should run you about $150USD.

Here is a link to Newegg listing all the 6600GT models they sell:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Manufactory=&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A10550&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&description=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&SubCategory=48&Submit=Property

Of all the mondels listed there is little difference.  Look around and see if one comes bundeled with free games... Mine came with 3 free games when I got it and it gave me something to do when I got bored.

Do note that there are TWO different types of connectors for both the montherboard and monitor that you can chose.  The monitor connection can be either DVI or regular analog.  Analog is what most CRTs are and most LCDs are able to use it too.  If you get a card that has TWO DVI outputs, then the card will usually come with two little converters that will turn the DVI into the analog connection so that you can use your CRT analog connection. The DVI conneciton is used by higher-end LCDs and give a better picture when you use it.

The motherboard connection can be AGP or PCI-Express.  Make sure you buy the connector that your motherboard has.
