The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

E-mail from Exchange server never makes it to destination

I have recently setup a Small Business server
Each Workstation is a member of the domain, gets an IP from the router and has assigned DNS of the server's IP Address.

I put a forward lookupzeon equal to the ISP DNS server # and a reverse zone is setup for the IP schema 192.168.1.xxx , etc.  

I went in to exchange and set a SMTP connector to forward all mail to a smarthost that accepts annonymous relays without authentication of passwords, etc.  

Each workstation has a POP account and an exchange account in its outlook.  The POP account is set as default  ... but I want the exchange accounts to be able to actually get e-mail out to the internet to whoever

The one thing I am unsure on are the MX records necessary and or more DNS entries I would need.

For a while, I was getting delivery delay or failure notifications on the workstations but this has stopped.  

I am sending out test messages to an AOL address and they simply never arrive or bounce  back to the sender.  They just disappear.  Obviously, If I use the POP account as the sender in Outlook, they make it successful every time.

I have set this up as a Go to my PC client as well so someone can even look around on the server if needed.

I feel I am so close on this it would burn me , but something is just not quite right yet.
