The server is not operational

Hi
I have 2 domains with a 2 way trust between them. The trust can be verifed from both directions. The DNS and WINS are resolving perfectly and I can ping the host anme as well as the ip address. I can browse between the 2 domains and see all of the resources and get to the resources. However when I try to add a user from the trusted domain to a group such as DNSAdmin for example. I can choose the domain for locations but I can not get to any of the users from the other domain. I get "The server is not operational"

Any idea?
