Setup Wirelss Network

Hi experts,
I want to make a wireless solution the following is my explaination:

I've a Broadband Internet connection and I want to share this internet connection with other usres accross my area about 3 Km or longer! and I may face some barriers that may interference with the signal.
my question is:
1- How can I setup the wirelss solution at my home connected to my broadband connection?
2- How can I share the connection with the users I mentioned above within the space mentioned?
3- What hardware should I use and their brands (Routers, Access points, amplifiers etc)
4- What's the maximus distance that my signal will reach?
5- If ther'es an illustrated tutorial to how to set up this solution or even part of it, it'll be appreciated

1.  At your house you will need a Router to push the connection from your broadband.  I would go with a Linksys or Netgear, but for the basis of this, use Netgear.  Since you are looking into sharing this I would consider a NetGear Rangemax, which covers up to 500,000 sq ft, with 10x stronger signal then offered by 802.11g.  You can check out the specs at:  http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WPN824.php

You will also need an adapter for your PC/Laptop... If you do not already have one you can get it at :  http://www.netgear.com/products/business/prod_adapter_wireless_sb.php

2.  To share over that space you are going to need something a bit more serious:  Such as a Wireless antenna.  Here is a link to one that will provide you with Wireless for up to 10 MILES!!!!

3.  Linksys or Netgear, but for something this large, definately go with Netgear.

4.  The Wireless antenna provides wireless connection up to 10 miles away.

Also, the antenna, and rangemax were built with interference in mind, so you will have maximum reception.

Last post, The antenna itself is about $125, you can get it from different places.  Not bad at all for 10 miles of service.  Also, on the link: http://www.netgear.com/products/details/ANT24D18.php  it gives you a list of routers that it is compatible with to supply the connection into the antenna from the router with.

Honestly I don think that Abs_jaipur's answer is the right one... The antenna he mentions is directional... which is great as long as you have it pointed properly and the person on the other end has something simular... and then you need pairs of antenna's for each person you want to connect.

The best bet is to purchase a large omnidirectional antenna for your home site, either attach it to a router for unconditional access, or use a linux based management solution as outlined here.

At the client end, I would say running some sort of inexpensive directional antenna would be the way to go. These can be made for as cheap as $5. Do some google'ing on 'Yagi Antennas'.

You should be able to setup something like what you have mentioned for a few hundred dollars. You can try to build your own dipole omni antenna, or you can purchase one for the $100-200 range.

Its $125, again its Netgear.  And you do not need anything on the other end except for a regular adapter.  

The great thing about my post is that all of the equiptment is Netgear, keeping your items in the setup in a project like this ensures maximum compatibility and performance.
