The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

what is best configuration for watchguard x15 router and small business server 2003.

OK.
This weekend I am installing a SBS 2003 server at a company who now has a 2000 server and is not hosting their own email.  It's only a 10 employee company so I am starting all over and installing the server from scratch.  Right now they have a watchguard firewall. From my experience so far to make exchange server to work properly you have to have a public nic on the server.....So from a security stand point I suppose I want the router between the External (public nic) and the Internet right?  If I had it in between the internal nic that would not make much sense to me as far as security.. I guess anyone that is going to hack the computer would have to come through the external nic and the firewall right?

I guess my question is this.. What would be the best way to secure this thing?  I am planning on using exchange server, OWA, and the terminal services that SBS 2003 offers.  But like I said, it has been my experience if you have internal nic addresses trying to use exchange a dnsreport.com return the desired results.. I read on one site that I should use router in Bridge mode?  Would that be any better than just using the external nic as the router with Routing and Remote Access? If anyone has used this same scenario please give me some detailed info.. I am instlling this thing this weekend... Was going to do it a week from now, but time constraints are pushing me..

Thanks
