I've found varying success across different platforms, but for Windows machines they seem to work without a hitch!

Browse All TopicsI was thinking about getting a few USB wireless adaptors to use in a pinch, but I have read reviews on some products and they have been mixed. I am in an office environment and my access points are never more than 75' away. They are Cisco Aironet 1100's and some of my PCMCIA NIC's are Cisco 350's. Does anyone have experience with wireless USB adaptors? Can they be reliable in a pinch for temporary hookups?

linksys is a child company of cisco, unless you can afford (or find) usb adapators that are cisco, linksys will probably be your best bet since they are related.
i think these adaptors are awesome, especially for desktop machines, id perfer these over a pci card anyday, mostly because i can have this above the monitor for better reception and a pci cards antenna is on the floor (unless you get an external one which cost more $$$)

I don't have a problem with them for temporary hookups. I've not actually seen any reliability issues that could be blamed solely on the fact that they were USB devices.
