Browse All TopicsHi guys,
I have a problem for which I look forward to u guys 4 help.
I have too many people having internet access and there is one single ADSL line giving them access to http traffic. There is another leased line which gives access to only email traffic and vpn and all. I wanna have another ADSL line on which I want to keep some specified users and allow them to access internet through tht line and rest will be goin through the existing ADSL line.
I wanna know do we have some device wherein I can combine all these lines and divert there own traffic on to the specified lines. I have ISA server in place through which every user passes and then the traffic goes on to cisco pix firewall and then it goes to the router and then internet.
Waiting 4 comments eagerly
Thanks

You have two diffrent Internet connections & you wish to combine them together and also impose security so as to you can define users/groups to utilise specific services only right?
OK if you wish to do so from the ISA Module then you can do it by imposing policy onto those users You want to give access to particular services.
If you wish to use managable hardware you can do it as under:
Use a Dual/Quad Wan Router/ Load Balancer i.e. Device 1 (Where your ADSL Internet connection terminate.) from this
Device 1 --> connect it to either a Layer 2 or Layer 3 Switch.. Device 2 (periheral that can alow VPN Pass through)
i either of these Layer 2/3 Switches you can specify groups/ VLan's specific to the usage of particular entities.
By using Loadbalancer you can either aggregate or segregate your bandwith and also create a single tunnel for access to the internet making your device/Network maintainance easier.
Dual/Quad Wan Routers/ Load Balancers you could find in Cisco, LInksys, D-Link, Netgear etc Companies.
Dual/Quad Router/Loadbalancer --> Firewall --> Layer 2/3 Switch --> Existing Network (An Example)

so the additional adsl line would come to the same router??
Can you actually make a diagram on your topology ...
This can be achieved by routing traffic accordingly. Depending on your topology, this can be configured on the ISA box, router or even Pix.
