spams asking for bank details- what to do?

Asked by neopolitan in Miscellaneous Networking

Not sure if this question stays here or in the security section.

I am constantly being spammed with emails of the following nature asking for bank details. I do regularly delete them, but it is becoming a nuisance; also, similar emails can make some vulnerable person to be caught unawares. Usually it is to do with ebay; but sometimes, it comes for chase bank account.

Can I do something to bring these criminals to justice? Who can I complain to? (don’t say ebay- have done that- no help). Or leave them to continue to cheat people like this?
