stopping internet access
Hi all
We have a w2k domain. I want to stop internet access to one machine (win xp pro). We dont use a rpxy server, so i originally instructed the pc to use a proxy that didnt exist, however the users of the machine soon figured this out. What is the best/ easiest way to deny this one machine acces to the internet, that the users cannot alter.
Thankyou for your help

thanks for tips. I discovered that they had admin rights on the local machine, doh. Disabled these, and assigned them a static ip address with the wrong gateway ip (the gateway points back top themself). They dont have the rights to change the address settings, and thus cant get onto the internet/ change the setting so that they can.
Thanks for your advice, i would have gone down the firewall router, only im not to familar with the commands needed to set this up.
