NetBIOS over Tcpip......Disabled
Hello,
I had several PCs on my network become infected with a virus over the weekend. The threat has been recognized by Symantec, and I've run a virus scan on the computer in question. It currently scans without finding any viruses/threats.
However, when I run ipconfig /all, it shows the following line instead of the Primary WINS server line:
NetBIOS over Tcpip...................Di
So now I can't find a computer by UNC path: \\server\share. I can, however, ping the server's IP address.
I went to my LAN Connection > properties > TCP/IP > Properties > Advanced > WINS > Enable NetBIOS over Tcp/IP. Still no luck; it shows as disabled when I run ipconfig.
Any ideas on how I can get NetBIOS going again?
