Cant get beyond homepage on network guest computer without getting error message

Zone: Miscellaneous Networking
Cant get beyond MSN homepage on network guest computer without getting error message "HTTP 403 forbidden" and when trying to get into windows updates "the page cannot be found".  Other than this connectivity problem everything else is OK.
Any help to solve this internet issue is appreciated.
