The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Print accross VPN

I am dealing with 3 Sites.    We'll call them Queens,  Nassau, and Suffolk.  Queens is the main site.
All three were just installed with Cisco 851 Routers.  Nassau and Suffolk each have a site-to-site vpn tunnel back
to main office.

Respective subnets:

 Queens 10.0.12.x
 Nassau 10.0.11.x
 Suffolk 10.0.20.x

The remote users in Nassau and Suffolk connect to the server in queen via RDP to use a specific application.  They need to be able to print from RDP (Remote Desktop) back to the printers in there respective remote sites.  Which are Brother Lasers with built in ethernet jacks.   The remote users printers MUST remain ethernet.

The tunnels are established and I can ping between them and connect to network shares.  However I cannot establish a RDP session back to server using internal IP which is not that big of a deal as I can connect using the external address.  But cannot print from that server back to there printers.  Drivers are known to be could and configured properly as printing was not an issue with the Linksys RV042 that were previously in place.  They were removed cause the vpn tunnel was slow and unreliable.

I CAN ping the printers on the different subnets from the server.

ACLs on the Routers seem to be OK.  To allow all IP traffic through the tunnel between the subnets.

I am using SDM 2.3.4.

I can't think of anything to include as my brain is fried from working on this.  Please let me know if you need more info.
