Browse All Topicshere is the situation. I currently have one internet T-1 coming into a cisco 2621 router (aka my internet router) on the serial port. I have a new internet circuit (2MB) from another provider (they give me an ethernet handoff) that i would like to add to this router and load balance the traffic. All of my public stuff (email, VPNs etc) are tied to the IPs on the T-1. A network map is below:
T-1 internet-----|
2621---DMZ switch-------Pix 525-------3560Switch-----3
2MB internet----| |
LAN at site1
so here are my questions:
1. can a 2621 load balance between dissimilar ports (serial and FE)? And if so how?
2. what will i need to change on the PIX's config since currently the 'global' IP address is my publically exposed IP on the T-1. Where do the IPs for the 2MB internet connection come into play on the PIX?
3. where do the new public IPs come into play on the 2621 router. Can i have dual gateways set?
4. we host our own email server, so if i end up load balancing all outboud traffic out of the 2 ISPs will that mess up my email since sometimes the reverse DNS IP will not match?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
