DNS Problem

Asked by didge1 in Miscellaneous Networking

Ok I have a win2003sbs that i had to do a full reinstall. I cannot get any client PC to connect to the DCs dns server. The server is running and the forwarders entered correctly. I can perform a succesfull nslookup on the DC but not on the clients. The DC will browse the web fine. An IPconfig/all on the clients shows that the clients are being allocated their IP addresses by the DC and are making the dns requests from the DC. The Router address is correctly entered as the default gateway. If I enter an ip address in a client browser I can retrieve a Web page no problem, so this points me to a dns problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Start Free Trial
