And you must use DCOM to talk between the capture server and broadcast server?? While trying to follow the instructions and 'announce broadcast' (required for multicast) all I receive is errors. This is a mess - any workarounds available?
Using 2 Window 2003 Standard (Local server to capture and remote server for streamng)
Windows Media Services 9
Wndows Encoder 9

This is the location of the sample broadcast, however the publishing point is stopped at this moment. When we test live feed the encoder will push to the streaming server however I noticed that it is a unicast and not multicast. Let me read your doc.
Thanks
yes - according to that doc
Multicast streaming from a broadcast publishing point is only available in Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition, and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition. If you are running Windows Media Services in Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition, multicast streaming is not supported.
So it is the broadcast server where you need enterprise or datacenter edition
