I currently have a network setup of a broad range of equipment. All the equipment supports SNMP. I'm looking for a tool that allows me to configure all the SNMP devices easily.
One of the devices is a network modem. I'd like to be able to have a screen that only shows only certain options in the MIB (for example, frequency, encoding type, etc.). I'd like to be able to browse the MIB and to be able to define/select which of these options appear in the configuration. Also, I'd like to be able to save these configurations, and the configurations of the entire network and be able to reload them on the fly. There's only around 30 devices, many of them the same.
I'm trying to figure out if there are any COTS products that do this and do this well. Any help is appreciated.
Also, I've looked into NETCONF and I think that's what kind of products I'm ultimately interested in, but that technology still seems too early.
