I need help figuring out where to start in configuring my first VLAN.
Existing NW top(internet - bottem(ws) :
T1 24 channels full data incoming
Cisco 1760 passthrough router
WG FireBox 1000 Router - A webserver out on the DMZ using optional port on WG
HP2924 SFP plus 24 port managed switch(new late last year and VLAN capable) 10/100/1000
Dlink 24 port 10/100 unmanaged #3 - uplinked
Dlink 24 port 10/100 unmanaged #2 - uplinked
Dlink 24 port 10/100 unmanaged #1 - uplinked
My servers are off the HP switch, at least most of them, My Managers are also off the HP, while other users are off the top level #3 older dlink(don't even know model number), then other users off Dlink #2. QA computers are off #1 at the bottem.
I have been wanted to setup my QA and Training room off VLANS with access still to the Internet possibly, but again need some steps on where to start to get me going. I just haven' had a moment to do the research. What other hw would I need also and a synopsis of steps/factors would help me get a plan going. I didnt' mention my IPsec hw tunnel to TX, but they are on 2.0/24 and Main office is 1.0/24 network.
