Hi Experts,
I have created an application program that communicates to the database via the network, however when I tried my application program to the other computer via network it was not able to connect to my computer.
I tried a simple experiment. I'm able to see the other computer's shared folder and I'm able to ping it however the other computer can also see my computer's shared folder but it was not able to successfully ping my computer.
I tried to check if it is a firewall problem or an antivirus problem but does not look to be it. Any advice? How can the other network computer see my shared folder but unable to ping my host computer?
I forgot to say that I'm on a company network and our OS are all windows.
Thank you.
Cordially,
Javatm
