It is model F5L009. And I did update the firmware.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have a Belkin Network USB Hub (NUH) plugged into my Linksys RV042 router. I run XP inside Fusion on a Macbook. XP is installed on a separate partition under Bootcamp. I launch XP and can connect to the USB HD using the Belkin SW. Windows Explorer shows the USB HD. However, XP Disk Management does not show the USB HD. And as soon as I touch the HD with Windows Explorer it locks up. The HD read/write LED lights, and there it stays, forever. XP is also locked up. If I turn off the HD power switch XP comes back to life.
The HD is formatted as NTSF and it passes chkdks /r when plugged directly into the Macbook. I also tried FAT format with the exact same results. And when plugged into the Mac the HD works just fine. The router is set to provide a static IP address to the network hub. That appears to be working properly. I have updated the hub firmware.
Any idea what is going on here? I want to be able to use the HD as an XP backup. Posts to Belkin and Linksys have proved fruitless.
