problem with bridged network cards

I'm dealing with a wireless networking problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I am working on a wired and wireless network in a home. Three computers and a printer connect to a router by ethernet cable. A laptop connects wirelessly and another pc in the living room connects wirelessly. So far, so good. All of this works fine.

The computer in the living room sits beside the stereo. I have a Slim Devices (Logitech) Duet system which I want to connect to the living room PC by ethernet cable because it will be pulling flac files from the PC and route them through a DAC to the stereo.

The problem is that the DHCP server will not automatically assign an IP address to the second NIC on the living room PC. I tried setting the IP manually but the Duet receiver didn't seem to like that and wouldn't connect to the PC. Then I tried bridging the wired and wireless network adapters. This works to a point. The DHCP server will assign an IP address to both cards and the Duet receiver will connect to the PC. The problem is that the PC will no longer connect to the Internet. I have no idea why but I need Internet access on this PC.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue is and how can I resolve it? All of the computers are on the same network and subnet and there are no IP conflicts. Thanks in advance for your help.
