House to house networking

I need to connect two houses together that both have dynamic IP addresses.  It is to be able to use PC anywhere between the houses.  Is there either a software that will deal with the dynmaic addresses or is the best option VPN?  If VPN is the best option how do you set it up with the dynamic addresses?

The best option in such case (for PC anywhere only) is to use logmein or live mesh instead.

Or get a static IP
both VPN and PCanywhere require a static IP.

Go there and register an account for both houses to use dynamic dns. Most routers even have DDNS built into them so you won't even have to download the client for windows. It will allow you to setup your own domain name say myhouse1.dyndns.org and myhouse2.dyndns.org and the ip address will not matter after that.
