Cisco ASA 5500 SOHO configuration?

I have a new Cisco ASA 5500, a platform that I'm learning.  We have a few at work.

I'm stumped about how to configure this for a SOHO configuration where the ASA will get its routing/ip/dns info from DHCP from the Cable Modem (Comcast).  I tried this tonight and it was a mess.

Could someone provide me with some directions about how to get it configured correctly.

I got ASDM up and the window text was not resizable -- useless (on a Mac).

I already know how to get into enable and configure terminal - I configured the internal dhcp address range, the vlan 2 interface address, etc.  I'm just stuck on the above.
