Asked by Sterry in Programming for ASP.NET, TCP/IP, Miscellaneous Networking
Hi,
Can anyone explain what the values returned from netstat -s mean, the difference between them, and why those statistics might happen?
For example - What's the difference between active opens, passive opens, and current connections? Why would a connection be reset and added to the reset connections count? Why would a connection attempt fail?
I have inherited a TCP server from an ex-employee and want to understand how the server is performing.
Many Thanks,
Paul
