The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

b)map a root search drive the DOS directory
c)write a message using two variables
d)write a mesage to ProjGroup members
e)prevent the default login script from executing

this is what i have so far:

MAP ROOT INS S2:=
CISTSRVR\SYS:\PUBLIC\IBM_PC\MSDOS

PAUSE

WRITE "Good%GREETING_TIME,%LOGIN_NAME."
WRITE"The time is%HOUR24:%MINUTE." (if anyone could give me an idea on some better variables to write, i would appreciate it)

PAUSE

If MEMBER OF "ProjGroup" THEN WRITE "Please remove files older than three weeks before backing up."

REM Disable the default login script

NO DEFAULT

MAP DISPLAY ON
MAP

REM@CISTSRVR1\SYS\PUBLIC\NAL.EXE

2)Write the UsrProfile login script.
a)write a message stating that the profile login is running
b)sound the phasers
c)suspend execution of the login script
Now i do not even know where to start with the 2nd assignment. i am not asking for someone to do it for me, but i do need some pointers on how to get started

Now for the last part of the assignment:
3)Write a user login script
a)map a root drive to DMBFord
b)display text from a file
c)change the default to one of the drives

This is what i have done so far on part 3

REM MAP DISPLAY OFF

MAP ROOT G:=\VOL1\LANCOM23\SALES\DMBFORD

DISPLAY G:=\VOL1\LANCOM23\DATA\COMMON\TEMPLATES\NEWS.TXT
