Domain wide workstation audit from domain controller

Is there a tool or method to check the hardware on each workstation in a domain, more specifically: amount of RAM, hard drive size, CPU speed and type, and even operating system if it can be tied in to the same survey.  I would like this solution to be automated on the workstation side in the sense that there should be no user intervention necessary.  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
