We're looking for some sort of logging / auditing ability to show where users are currently accessing the server from. This is mainly due to a user being abroad for most of the year and needs to be able to show this via some sort of log file.
They VPN to the office and make use of Outlook as well as accessing files, the VPN logs from the router will show the IP but nothing to do with the user. The basic auditing of course shows the local IP that is given to the VPN connection. There seems to be several possibilites but we are looking for some suggestions or any known items of software that may allow us to do this in a much easier way. Basically being able to see the local date, time, external IP address of the user, the files and / or exchange / ad based access of the logged on user and to have it in a log file for archiving.
