I was trying to flash a MSI EX-600 laptop with a newer BIOS but unfortunately used the EX-600 YA Edition BIOS version.
Now the laptop does not go past the POST screen.
Is there any way for me to get it to work?
I have tried EC reset (taking out the battery and power, pressing the power button several times and waited 15min), putting the correct version of the BIOS and renaming it to "AMIBOOT.ROM" onto a USB floppy and trying a force update (ctrl+home) when powering on, but to no avail.

Even soldered BIOS chips can be serviced, if you are determined and have the right equipment: http://bios-repair.co.uk/V
There are places that handle laptop BIOS chips: http://bios-repair.co.uk/b
Callandor,
My mistake - didn't expecta that someone actualy doing this.
Anyway andrewchinwaisun is from Australia - shipping to UK and back+repair cost would be more expensive than replacement motherboard.
But it's good to know - if someone doing it in UK, then probably someone in Australia doing it too...
