Meyersd Friend,

I have a CX300 running here, and I removed the disk "0" and insert in storage to be reinstaldo. The chassis was turned on and started the SPA. I do this procedure to replicate the disks. My doubt, the record "0" insertion in storage is to be reinstalled Cheatah 10k Seagate, model number: ST3300007FCV, firmware 6A1A. The disks are in storage to be reinstalled, are: Seagate Cheatah 10k, model number: ST3300007FCV, TSTB firmware, and are not recognized in both stoarges.

Thank you for your attention.

Philip B. L.
You'll need disks with EMC firmware on them. If the TSTB drive firmware is not recognised by either array, then I'd suggest that they are not EMC drives and won't work. The EMC firmware is not available outside the EMC factory, and the drives are formatted to 520 bytes/sector rather than the usual 512 bytes/sector.

Talk to the people that sold you the drives with TSTB firmware on them and get your money back. You'll need to purchase the correct MC CLARiiON drives from a reseller or eBay.
Good morning friends, sorry for the delayed response!

First I would like to thank!

I examente recommended by our friend meyersd. As I was running a CX300 Storage, then copies the new Flare Code for Storage.

1. I removed the disk 0 in which CX300 was running;
2. Inserted in slot 0 on the CX300 to be repaired, I called the power plugs and SPA;
3. I waited for the boot process;
4. access via Ethernet SPA (the same ips that runs the CX300, carefully make sure that is accessing the correct storage, knife, or a separate network storage pc-crossover;
5. Destroyed by Navisphare information from RAID group, LUN, etc.. (I did this because my system disk was 300GB and was cloando Flare Code for the 73GB one and not worked, because the system wanted to mount the raid again;
6. Insert the disk in slot 2 will be the cover, wait for the leds of the disks to stop flashing constantly (this copies the disc Flare Code 0 for 2.;
7. Now remove the disc and insert another disc 0, wait copy.;
8. Take the CX300 disk that already runs to copy in this case will be the time to use the SPB (be careful if you are using a storage that is active, see if your hot-spare disk is remounted in the raid. Dejsar to reinsert the more security disk 0 for the raid is rebuilt. In my case it took about 1 hour to complete the process of reconstruction of the raid. doing so your storage and LUN's are not offline, it uses RAID 5.
9. Repeat the process to copy the codes resembling the disk 0 and 2, but not SPB precissa access via Ethernet and destroy or RAID LUN Group (if this is your case different disks).
10. When finished copying, access via serial cable to the SPA and SPB configuration of IP and hostname ...
11. After booting the Navisphare go and check everything!

Best wishes,
