Windows SBS 2008 R2 Folder Redirection Issue reguarding My Documents Not Redirecting
New Computer Operating System is Windows 8.1 Pro
Old Computer Operating System is Windows XP Pro
I changed a client to a new computer and His "Documents" will not Redirect to the server \\servername\RedirectedFol
His "My Pictures" "My Music" and "My Videos" are all redirecting correctly
I've noticed from Win Xp to Win 8.1 the names of the doc folders have changed, I don't believe that should matter. any ideas on how to fix the My Document to redirect on the Server? GPO haven't changed.
Note We only have 2 computers with win 8.1 on our network the one listed above and one other, Everything including "Documents" is redirecting correctly. (the difference here is on hers she is a new hire and user was just setup with folder redirection enabled from the beginning.)

all the users on the network are using Local profiles only.
should the next step be to go to the redgedit on the server or workstation?

The regedit change I suggested above would be made on the workstation registry while the user is logged on. Then you'd have to restart to make sure the registry entry takes effect the next time the user logs on. This will fix the immediate problem.
It still remains a bit of a mystery as to why the group policy is not changing this entry automatically. I would be inclined to run gpresult on the workstation also to see if there's any indication that the group policy isn't being applied properly to the workstation.

The "My Pictures" are redirecting correctly and the path in the registry looks like this

That's kinda weird....The "Personal" setting that I have seen that I know works is pointing to the actual path of the redirected folder, i.e., the path that you have in your post #39975943.

Do you see any group policy folder redirection errors in the event log on the workstation? If so, please post the contents of the error message
