I just finished installing Windows sharepoint and the Absence Request and Vacation Schedule Management template available from M$. I'd like to configure it to:
A - when a employee places a request -> send an email to both the employee and their supervisor (i already have the groups setup the way we need them) informing them of the pending request for approval/rejection
B - when the supervisor approves/rejects -> email is sent to employee and supervisor for record of accept of reject
C - Allow employees to only create new request and not edit/delete theirs or any others (I couldn't figure this out after playing with the permissions several times)
