8000 - 8005 is a pretty small range for VoIP rdp...

Usually RDP is sent in a range of 10,000 - 20,000 UDP (just UDP)...

So I would add this ports 10000 - 20000 UDP to your port forwarding...

Definitely keep 5060 both UDP and TCP

And if you need 8000 - 8005 from your provider, I would keep that as well (but double check).

Thank you, I'll test that and let you know

How are you port forwarding and what are your exact settings?

Also, what type of VoIP box are you connecting to? (ie Asterisk, etc)

Voip box? No idea to be honest.I'll see if I can find out.  It is  service provided by a local wireless internet company (IBurst) in South Africa. Port forwarding is as per attached. Not really another way of doing it on this router.

A net search for iburst shows a local RTP port of 12345. You may want to try opening this, but have you asked them what ports they require? Where did you get the 8000 - 8005 values?

I think in the end I will either cancel this subscription, or give in and buy the Bullion router they are punting. I am not going to waste any more time with this.

Thank you for your time - I will award the points for the effort you put into it.

Just a follow-up:
I installed Express Talk, and opened the required ports on the pc, and router, and then remembered that sbs2003 also has a firewll!!

Voila - all working now. Thank you for your efforts Palner. Afterthought - NEVER trust a salesperson - the ISP assured me that it will ONLY work with a Bullion router. You just need to knwo how!
