I use Nortel Networks VPN and there is an incoming log that lists all failed and successful connections. I would think Cisco's VPN Server would log this activity?? If you are unsuccessful in your attempts to find the location/settings for this activity log, I would suggest contacting Cisco directly, they are very helpful techs.

#show users command will give connected users including VPN users;

and if u want check connection time and ur VPN connection is though crypto isakmp (IPSEC)
then show crypto commands will give u that:
#sh crypto session detail

try and repply

by: ameri13Posted on 2009-02-05 at 13:44:12ID: 23564656

I tried # show users and #sh crypto session detail...

Everytime I hit enter, it just goes back to the beginning of the session and says" Type help or '?' for a list of available commands.

#sh crypto isakmp sa

will give the IP they have connected from as well...

all the commands above MUST be entered from an enabled console on your router though... they all definately work... so long as the router you're enterin the commands on IS the router that is terminating the VPN connections..

by: ameri13Posted on 2009-02-05 at 16:59:51ID: 23565993

I tried #sh crypto isakmp sa worked, but I only got logs of the direct connections from other firewalls...no logs of vpn client users.

The #sh crypto session detail did not work. I got the following message: Invalid Keyword "Session"

# Show Users didn't work at all...
