Using Microsoft Network Monitor as sniffer

Asked by fischermx in Network Analysis Software, Network Auditing Software, Network Operations

I've been playing a few days with the Microsoft Network Monitor tool, and it is really interesting.
I'm doing this just for fun, in my local home network.
Initially, I thought this was a network, to see just what is going through your own PC, but it seems, it can get some information about what others are doing in the local network.
However, it does not show all the information about what others are doing.

Can I use this tool, as a full sniffer?
If it doesn't work this way, could you recommend a good sniffer tool?Start Free Trial
