port miroring on cisco switch

Asked by aihaiai in Network Analysis Software, Network Routers, Network Switches & Hubs

I have one branches that connected to my HQ, using lease line. the ETH 0 interface at router at HQ side is physically connected to port 8/19 on my cisco catalyst. I connecting another port 6/33 to my network sniffer. i did a span command as below :

span 8/19 6/33

Destination     : Port 6/33
Admin Source    : Port 8/19
Oper Source     : Port 8/19
Direction       : transmit/receive
Incoming Packets: disabled
Learning        : enabled
Multicast       : enabled
Filter          : -
Status          : active

I expected i can view all ip address that go through the link at port 8/19. but it seems like it only shows the IP from the same VLan (same subnet). where did i do wrong according to scenario above?Start Free Trial
