I have a strange Proplem. In a little network, which basically consists of a NAT Router that runs Open Tomato and two computers. One is a wireless laptop with Ubunut and XP, the otherone is a PC connected via a 100Mbit Lan cable. It can runs XP.
The Computer has a pretty clean XP professional intall (2 weeks) and uses G Data 2008 Internet security as well as MS Windows Defender. AVG anti rootkit is also installed.
Now when i turn the computer on, i have no problems going to the internet using http. After a time it seems that the HTTP protoco hangs up or something. I am still conected to messengers, i can play online games, but i cannot use any HTTP protocol
I cannot even go to my Routers Web interface. I get a time out.
Concurrently i can use my laptop to view Webpages or acces my Router.
I can ping the router and webpages from the PC though. I can do nslookup. I also disabled all firewall / antivirus programs. I ran a rootkit scan, virus scan - no infections.
I used wireshark to analyse the network traffic. There aren't any transmission faults. But i can see that some transmissions just stop for now reason.
I looked at my network connections and saw that there was the QoS Packet Shedeuler was checked. I disabled it, but it didn't help.
By the way. On the same computer i have ubuntu installed. It doesnt make this problems.
Is there an other way to find out way network communications just stop?
